The South Plainfield School District has been closely monitoring the weather forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, 2024. According to the latest predictions, rain is expected to start this evening, transitioning into snow between 5am-6am. Heavy snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are expected until 11 a.m., leading to a total accumulation of 5-8 inches. Unfortunately, this coincides with our morning commute, posing hazardous driving conditions. As a result, the South Plainfield School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.
Please be advised, all sporting events and practices are being rescheduled, and coaches will be reaching out to individual team members with further updates.
As always, we thank you for the strong partnership between the South Plainfield community and the South Plainfield School District. Stay safe and warm.
Friendly reminder that this Friday, February 9, there will be an early dismissal for elementary students at 1:00pm. There will be lunches served as well as Before Care, however there will be no After Care on this day, so please take note and be sure to make needed arrangements, thank you.
