On 12/5/25 Kennedy had an extra special December Tiger Buck pull . The Tiger Buck pull was to commemorate the amazing achievement of our students and district staff of raising $2,816 for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This fundraiser was hosted by the Kennedy student council with a CHOP Pajama Day. As a community, we believe in giving back to those who give so much to others and our Kennedy cubs are a shining example of doing good for others.
You can still hear the echoes of applause! The official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Kennedy's new playground took place on December 4th. Thank you to our amazing Board of Education Members and District Administrators that were in attendance for this spectacular day. We want to give an extra special thanks to our ceremony speakers Board of Education President, Mr. Cassio and Student Council Co-Presidents Alexis Chin and Radley Vega. We cannot thank everyone that helped complete the Kennedy School playground project enough!

Yesterday morning, Kennedy School was honored to host our community's veterans in honor of their service and sacrifice with a Veteran's Day Assembly. Thank you to all of the veterans, their families, our district SROs and Board of Education Member, Mr. Sesselberg who were able to join us for this very special day.
We want to express our sincere gratitude again to the South Plainfield Police Resource Officers for visiting Kennedy School and sharing valuable safety information with our students. Their presentation on bike, Halloween and Internet & social media safety was informative and engaging. We appreciate their dedication to keeping our community safe. Thank you Officer Petriello, Officer Louise, and Officer Marte for your time with us yesterday!
Through magic tricks and humor, Michael Kirschner and his Abracabully Assembly, provided our Kennedy students with a valuable lesson about respect for others and kindness.

Join us for Kennedy School's Open House for all students. This includes all our new Kindergarten students on Wednesday August 27, 2025, beginning promptly at 9am and ending at 11am. Students will be able to visit their classroom and begin the sometimes-difficult transition into the school environment. Students also will be able to drop off supplies in their classrooms to lighten their backpacks on the first day.
Congratulations to our Kennedy School Noetic Math Contest participants! The Noetic Learning Math Contest is a national problem-solving competition designed to challenge and inspire young mathematicians in grades 2–8. We are incredibly proud of the 44 students from our 3rd and 4th grade classes who took on this challenge with determination and enthusiasm.
Your hard work, perseverance, and love for learning are something to be celebrated. Well done, Kennedy--you make us proud!
Girl Scout Troop 65008 is building Kennedy a little library and wants us to read more over the summer! Meet up with them at the South Plainfield Public Library and sign up for the Summer Reading Program and your Kennedy child will receive a Red Robin coupon for a free kids meal! The girls will be there on:
