South Plainfield School District

Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2026/27 school year will take place at the South Plainfield Middle School located at 2201 Plainfield Avenue. Lake Street entrance. Registration will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on the following dates:

                      Franklin School                                        February 2^nd , 3^rd , 4^th and 5^{th ,} 2026

           Riley School                                             February 17^{th ,}18^th ,19^th and 20^{th ,} 2026

                      Roosevelt School                                    March 2^nd , 3^rd , 4^th, and 5^th , 2026

                             Kennedy School                                      March 16^th ,17^th 18^th and 19^th, 2026

Children planning to enter Kindergarten in September must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2026. Please call Kathy Hajduk to set up an appointment at 908-754-4620 ext. 8202 after completing the online enrollment and uploading the required documents.

Children currently attending preschool in district who turn 5 years old on or before October 1, 2026, will automatically transition to Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. Each child will be assigned to the appropriate elementary school based on their home address.
