Please be advised, due to Emergency Road Construction, the traffic pattern around South Plainfield High School and South Plainfield Middle School will be disrupted, and an alternate route put in place for tomorrow, Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Morning and afternoon arrival and dismissal will be affected.
Tomorrow morning, Thursday, March 14, 2024, Merchants Avenue will be closed from Freed Avenue to Lane Avenue. Traffic leaving the South Plainfield Middle School will exit the parking lot onto Freed Avenue and will only be allowed to turn right on Merchants Avenue directly onto Plainfield Avenue. Alternatively, traffic may cross over Merchants Avenue to Van Fleet Avenue where traffic will be able to turn left to Lane Avenue.
South Plainfield High School traffic will enter and exit the parking lot from Lane Avenue but should expect traffic delays during arrival and dismissal.
