Dear Preschool Parents and Guardians:
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you—the Riley Preschool Annex Open House is just around the corner! Join us on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 6:00 pm for a memorable event. This open house will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, an engaging orientation program, and an opportunity for our incoming students to visit their classrooms and meet their teachers. Principal Lisa Ramirez will also provide essential information that you won't want to miss.
To ensure a smooth start to the 2023/2024 school year, we would like to highlight some important details:
Student Classroom Assignment: A detailed email from the Riley Preschool Annex Building will be sent to parents/guardians, informing you about the assigned teacher and classroom for your child. Please make note of this information for the open house.
Transportation: Preschool students eligible for transportation during the upcoming school year will receive an email directly from the South Plainfield Transportation Department. This email will contain information about pickup/drop-off locations and the schedule.
Breakfast/Lunch Program: We are pleased to offer breakfast and lunch to all our preschool students. The weekly menu will be available on our website. We encourage families to complete the free lunch application, which can be found on the Genesis Parent Portal. This application will help determine if your child qualifies for the program. For those who prefer to bring their own snack and lunch, you are more than welcome to do so.
Before and After Care Program: We understand that many of our preschool families are interested in our Before and After Care Program. We are actively seeking qualified staff members for this program, which is set to begin in September. However, as a New Jersey licensed childcare facility, we must adhere to strict guidelines, including maintaining an appropriate staff-to-student ratio. We will only be able to offer the before and after care program if we are fully staffed. In the event that the district is unable to fully staff the program, we regretfully won't be able to provide this service.
