Grade 1 Community Helpers
Our Grade 1 students learned about Community Helpers this school year. Students created a Research Task after learning about Community Helpers in their Social Studies unit in the classroom.
Next, the students researched a Community Helper in the Technology Lab and created a wonderful project. Students wrote sentences from their graphic organizer information by creating a PowerPoint slide. Then, for some fun, students inserted their face into their selected Community Helper, using a photo website. Lastly, we inserted their picture into the PowerPoint slide.
