High School Culture & Climate Committee
Mission
It is our mission as the South Plainfield High School Culture and Climate Committee to form a sound coalition of students, staff and administrators that will continue to cultivate an inclusive environment that promotes tolerance and respect for all people. As a whole, our group will aim to promote understanding, celebrate diversity, denounce acts of bias and hate, provide effective channels of communication and educate our school community.
Goals
Gather and examine the data on pertinent issues both local and nationwide and analyze where the issues/concerns are (with staff and students)
Take opportunities to celebrate the diversity of the School and community.
Provide information on the consequences and problems associated with acts of bias and hate.
Establish safe spaces for students and staff to go to and report incidents.
Set up events and panel discussions to examine issues and create avenues for educational opportunities.
