WELCOME TO THE GREAT KINDNESS CHALLENGE!
Our school
is proudly participating in The Great Kindness Challenge, a week-long
program dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion in
communities worldwide.
Considering
the life-altering global pandemic, we believe it’s more important than
ever to give our students the opportunity to participate in this
uplifting week of kindness.
To help our
students practice kindness and put their compassion into action, they
will receive a Great Kindness Challenge checklist.
WHEN: January 24 - 28, 2022
WHERE: John E. Riley
WHAT: The Great Kindness Challenge
#KindnessMatters #GreatKindnessChallenge
Together, we will lift each other up, cheer each other on and show the world that KINDNESS MATTERS!
Please watch our kickoff assembly below.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Ralph Waldo Emerson
“You cannot do kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson.
We will be
counting all of the kind acts completed by our students on the KINDNESS
JAR hung up in the hallway by the nurse's office. Make sure that if you
do a kind act, you tell your teacher or Ms. A!
Today's
Activity will be for you to do 1 kind act for someone else. This could
be holding the door, saying please or thank you, making someone a
picture or helping a parent at home.
Respectfully,
Carly Ashnault
